What is the function of the aorta in the urinary system?

The aorta supplies the blood that is being filtered by the kidneys.
The urinary system is the system that filters the blood, removing waste and excess water, and eliminates them through the creation of urine. The kidneys do the filtering and then urine is sent to the bladder where, when there’s enough, we get the urge to pee.
Because the blood is being filtered by the kidneys, it’s important that they be located somewhere that a lot of blood can filter through, and that a sufficiently big artery run through it. This is why the kidneys are located just below the ribs in the upper abdomen and that a major branch of the aorta runs through.
The entire volume of blood runs through the kidneys 300 times per day!

M5D1 Ethic

Natural law theory bases morality on human reason and human nature. That is, we can look to the elements of nature, including human behavior, to help guide our ethical decisions. However, philosophers interpret what is “natural” differently. Philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau held that humans are naturally compassionate and altruistic. Philosopher Thomas Hobbes regarded humans as wholly self-interested and suspicious of one another. Philosopher John Locke believed the mind is a tabula rasa—a blank slate—at birth, and that there is no universal agreement regarding principles perceived as innate. Human rights are primarily based on natural law. Most of us believe we have a right to be free, treated humanely, and respected as human beings; however, people do disagree on what rights natural law accords us. This activity aligns with module outcome 1.
Discussion Question

What do our natures entail exactly, if anything? Do you align yourself more with Rousseau, Hobbes or Locke? Accordingly, how might we successfully base our laws on the laws of nature, if at all?
Referencing the television series Lost, what do you believe our natural rights afford us, specifically, in terms of actual laws? What laws might we need to re-evaluate or change, if any, to better reflect these rights?

What change management practices would you have implemented to have these adjustments be handled better?

At your hospital, the Committee on Medical Ethics is a medical staff committee. It answers to the Medical Executive Committee and the medical staff president, and its members are jointly appointed by the president of the Medical Staff and committee chair.Although it is a Medical Staff Committee, its membership is multidisciplinary, including physicians, nurses, social workers, lawyers, and members of the lay public (for community representation). Most members of the committee have received training in clinical ethics consultation and were chosen because of their interest in the resolution of ethical issues and their interpersonal qualities with patients and staff. The hospital administration has engaged a consulting firm to “modernize” its structure. The consultants have advised converting the “old” social worker approach to the contemporary position of case manager. The consultants note that three social workers sit on the Ethics Committee. The social worker members of the Ethics Committee were advised that they will no longer serve on the said committee and that their place will be taken by the manager of case management, who has no experience in ethics consultation, nor does she know anything about the history of Ethics Committee activities at your hospital. The chair of the Ethics Committee is informed that three of his committee members are “out.” The chair is livid, and there is also an immediate reaction from all the rest of the committee members, most especially the medical staff members of the committee— something about separation of powers is mentioned. You have been assigned by the hospital administrator to “handle this mess.” How would you go about doing so? If you had been told to handle the proposed committee reconfiguration from the very beginning, what would you have done differently from what was done? What change management practices would you have implemented to have these adjustments be handled better?Describe your answer in detail, citing references in APA format where appropriate.
