To prepare for the next module, which will address the topic of gender, I want you to write out a list of toys boys commonly play with and toys girls commonly play with.

Please leave toys, like legos, that both boys and girls commonly play with off your lists. Your lists should be the gender-specific toys. Also, do not include games or sports. Only toys should be on your list. For example, video games are games.

Please post at least five toys for each sex. Use your list to explain what these toys suggest about our ideas of gender in the U.S.
