 – Using examples from Sinclair’s book The Jungle to illustrate the dangers Americans faced, compare and contrast attempts to protect workers from unregulated capitalist industry, and the slow development of labor unions, during the Progressive Era (1890s-1910s) and the New Deal (1930s).
