healthcare organization

Continue analyzing the situation that your case study’s healthcare organization faces. In this milestone, you will continue to evaluate the impact of the mission and vision of the healthcare organization’s strategic plan. You will also consider how the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats affect the environmental factors that confront the healthcare organization.

Develop a SWOT analysis of the healthcare organization. Be sure to address the following:

  1. Briefly summarize your case study.
  2. To what extent do the organization’s policies address this issue? Be sure to justify your response.
  3. To what extent does the organization’s strategic planning around this issue align with its organizational mission and vision? Use evidence and examples to justify your reasoning.
  4. What do you feel are the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) with regard to this issue? Be sure to substantiate your claims with evidence and specific examples.
  5. Based on the SWOT analysis you performed, what environmental factors are at play in terms of this issue and what is their impact on the delivery of care within the organization? In other words, identify any new policies or new trends that will affect your day-to-day operation.

How can prokaryotic cells be smaller than eukaryotic cells and still carry on all the functions of life

The smallest eukaryotic cell is the motile alga Micromonas. What is the minimum member of organelles this alga must have?

Two types of prokaryotic cells have been distinguished:bacteria and archaea. How do these cells differ from each other ? How are they similar?

In 1985,  a 0.5-mm cell was discovered in surgeonfish and named Epulopiscium fishelsoni(See11.14 page 315) It was presumed to be protozoan, In 1993, researchers determined that Epulopiscium was actually a gram-positive bacterium. Why do you suppose this organism was initially a identified as a protozoan? What evidence would change the classification to the bacterum?

When E. Coli are exposed to hypertonic solition, the bacteria produce a transporter protein that can move K+(Potassium ion) into the cell. Of what value is the active transport of K+, which requires ATP?

Concert performe

Write a report about the New York Philharmonic concert performance following guidelines in the “Guide to Writing a Concert Report” and standards listed in the Concert Report Rubric.

Include the following:

1) Concert performer(s) and program content, including title and composer as performed in sequence (10%)

(2) Details of the performance venue, including venue, arrangement of musicians and instruments, descriptions of instruments, and audience responses (20%)

(3) Musical elements for each of the four movements (listed below) following the “Guide to Writing a Concert Report” – use time marks (00:00) as a reference in the narrative (70%)

  • Show that you’ve learned something in this course. Use your newly developed musical vocabulary. Don’t say, for example, “The instruments moved the melody around.” Rather, say specifically, “The violins convincingly effected a modulation of the theme through different keys from 0:45-1:24.” (Which keys doesn’t matter; you’d have to have perfect pitch to know that, and only 1 person in 10,000 has perfect pitch.)
  • Use correct vocabularyPlease don’t call an overture or a set of instrumental variations a “song.” This will drive your instructor berserk. It is a piece, composition, work, oeuvre, symphonic movement, and so on. Unless there is a text and your piece is sung, it is not a song.

Assess Quality Improvement Efforts

Discussion: Using Evaluation Tools to Assess Quality Improvement Efforts

Like most other things in life, outcomes are the bottom line with respect to measurement of success along the path of quality improvement. However, without a careful analysis of the link between access, process, and structure of care, improvements in outcomes seem unattainable.—Sadeghi, Barzi, Mikhail, & Shabot, 2013In this Discussion, you consider how to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate the results of quality improvement initiatives. In addition, you discuss the significance of evaluation and how you, as a nurse leader-manager, can contribute in an organization to the large-scale goal of facilitating quality improvement.

To prepare:Review methods for measuring and evaluating quality improvement efforts presented in the Learning Resources. Pay particular attention to how and why it is important to measure outcomes.Select one evaluation tool and analyze its benefits and relevance for the quality improvement plan you are developing for your Course Project.Consider how you, as a nurse leader-manager, can use the results from the evaluation to support the organization’s overarching goals for quality improvement.

By Day 3 Post a brief description of the evaluation tool that you selected. Explain the benefits of applying this tool as part of your quality improvement plan in the Course Project. Also explain how you could use the results from the evaluation to support the organization’s overarching goals for quality improvement.

Validate an idea with your own experience and additional resources.
