Homework question for phyllis young

Please fix this assignment by adding a 5th article and completing the rest of the assignment if that is ok with you. The cost will be $25 if you choose to complete this.
Thanks! Enclosed are the notes from the last assignment that was submitted.
Nice job on your first assignment!  I really like the topic of your proposal. However your question and hypothesis are not written in a way that can be tested through a quantitative research study.  What about something like this:                 Which driving distraction is most frequently present during the time of an auto accident? And then your hypothesis needs to be a very specific, directional, and testable answer to the question (your educated guess). Also it will most often mirror the question in the way it is written.
Cell phone use is the most frequent driving distraction present during the time of an auto accident.
In your annotated bibliography it looks like you found some really good articles. However you only have 4 articles rather than the required 5.  Also it looks like all of your articles came out of a book, rather than from peer-reviewed journals which was a requirement for this paper. In the future when you are asked to use peer-reviewed articles make sure that they come from peer-reviewed journals.
Assignment 2: Final Project: Sampling
Based on the feedback you received on your submission from last week, submit a revised draft of your paper with this additional information:

Five additional references that could be used for your research paper and include a 1-2 sentence description for each of the five additional references, explaining how they fit with the research topic and the research question proposed. Make sure that these references come from scholarly sources using Argosy’s library resources.
A  very detailed outline of what you would like to cover in the intro/lit review of your paper. Write it as an outline and think about what you want each paragraph or section to cover. Paste your references into each section where the information from that article applies to the topic. Below is an example of the outline although the references have not been pasted in yet:

Introduction or Statement of the Problem (e.g. Predictors of Depression in Men)

Research question (E.g. What factors predict depression in men? For example, age, marital status, family history, stressors).
Why is it important/implications  (E.g. xx% of men are depressed; less likely to seek treatment; if we can identify who is at risk, may be able to direct them to treatment sooner)
Revised hypothesis based on feedback from the instructor

Review of the Literature (the following is an example for above topic):

Brief description of depression, symptoms, and any unique symptoms for men (Cite articles from which you will obtain this information).
How widespread is it? Stats on depression in general but also stats on depression in men (Cite articles from which you will obtain this information).
List factors that put men at risk for depression (Cite articles).

Difficulty communicating distress or sadness (Cite articles).
Job/work pressures (Cite articles).

Demographic characteristics (Cite articles).

Relationship between age and depression (Cite articles).
Relationship between marital status and depression (Cite articles).

A 1-2 page description of the sample you would like to use for your study, that provides the answer to the following questions:

What sampling technique would you use?
Does the sample generalize to the population? Explain why or why not.
What inclusion criteria would be used? What exclusion criteria would be used, if any?
What ethical issues might be encountered when collecting your information from this sample?

Be sure to also submit all your ten references (the five from last week and the five new ones you added) in an APA-style reference page. Be sure to also include an APA-style title page with your submission. Your paper should be at least 2-3 pages long. Make sure you write in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; display accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

SOCW-6202-WK6-Discussion

Discussion1: Impact of Codependency on Addiction Recovery
Four simple questions may help to assess codependent behavior: 1) Am I trying to rescue the person from painful consequences? 2) Am I trying to fix someone? 3) Do I see my fixing as crucial to saving his or her life? 4) Am I feeling resentment? A “yes” answer to one or more of these questions indicates possible codependent behavior.
Codependency is not limited to family and friends of the person with problems with addiction. In your work in this field, you must continually ask yourself these four codependent questions to guard against having your well-intentioned helping hinder both the recovery of the person with problems with addiction and your role as a helping professional.
·      Post two examples of ways that family members might demonstrate codependent behavior with a client with problems with addiction.
·      Explain how such behavior might impact addiction recovery.
·      Provide one strategy for addressing these codependent behaviors.
Support your response using the resources and the current literature.

Briefly describe your healthcare organization, including its culture and readiness for change. (You may opt to keep various elements of this anonymous, such as your company name.)

The collection of evidence is an activity that occurs with an endgame in mind. For example, law enforcement professionals collect evidence to support a decision to charge those accused of criminal activity. Similarly, evidence-based healthcare practitioners collect evidence to support decisions in pursuit of specific healthcare outcomes.
In this Assignment, you will identify an issue or opportunity for change within your healthcare organization and propose an idea for a change in practice supported by an EBP approach.
To Prepare:
Reflect on the four peer-reviewed articles you critically appraised in Module 4.
Reflect on your current healthcare organization and think about potential opportunities for evidence-based change.
The Assignment: (Evidence-Based Project)
Part 5: Recommending an Evidence-Based Practice Change
Create an 8- to 9-slide PowerPoint presentation in which you do the following:
Briefly describe your healthcare organization, including its culture and readiness for change. (You may opt to keep various elements of this anonymous, such as your company name.)
Describe the current problem or opportunity for change. Include in this description the circumstances surrounding the need for change, the scope of the issue, the stakeholders involved, and the risks associated with change implementation in general.
Propose an evidence-based idea for a change in practice using an EBP approach to decision making. Note that you may find further research needs to be conducted if sufficient evidence is not discovered.
Describe your plan for knowledge transfer of this change, including knowledge creation, dissemination, and organizational adoption and implementation.
Describe the measurable outcomes you hope to achieve with the implementation of this evidence-based change.
Be sure to provide APA citations of the supporting evidence-based peer reviewed articles you selected to support your thinking.

Estimating the age of glacial drifts. Tills are glacial drifts consisting of a mixture of clay,… 1 answer below »

Estimating the age of glacial drifts. Tills are glacial drifts consisting of a mixture of clay, sand, gravel, and boulders. Engineers from the University of Washington’s Department of Earth and Space Sciences studied the chemical makeup of buried tills in order to estimate the age of the glacial drifts in Wisconsin (American Journal of Science, Jan. 2005). The ratio of the elements aluminum (AI) and beryllium (Be) in sediment is related to the duration of burial. The Al–Be ratios for a sample of 26 buried till specimens are given in the accompanying table and saved in the TILLRATIO file. An SPSS printout with descriptive statistics for the Al–Be ratio is shown at the bottom of the page.
a. Find and interpret the z-score associated with the largest ratio, the smallest ratio, and the mean ratio. b. Would you consider the largest ratio to be unusually large? Why or why not?
c. Construct a box plot for the data and identify any outliers.

Explain a patient education strategy you might recommend for assisting your patient with the management of their health needs.

Discussion: Women’s and Men’s Health, Infectious Disease, and Hematologic Disorders
As an advanced practice nurse, you will likely experience patient encounters with complex comorbidities. For example, consider a female patient who is pregnant who also presents with hypertension, diabetes, and has a recent tuberculosis infection. How might the underlying pathophysiology of these conditions affect the pharmacotherapeutics you might recommend to help address your patient’s health needs? What education strategies might you recommend for ensuring positive patient health outcomes? For this Discussion, you will be assigned a patient case study and will consider how to address the patient’s current drug therapy plans. You will then suggest recommendations on how to revise these drug therapy plans to ensure effective, safe, and quality patient care for positive patient health outcomes.
To Prepare
Review the Resources for this module and reflect on the different health needs and body systems presented.Review the complex case asisgned by your Instructor for this Discussion.
Consider how you will practice critical decision making for prescribing appropriate drugs and treatment to address the complex patient health needs in the patient case study you selected.
Post a brief description of your patient’s health needs from the patient case study you assigned. Be specific.
Then, explain the type of treatment regimen you would recommend for treating your patient, including the choice or pharmacotherapeutics you would recommend and explain why.
Be sure to justify your response.
Explain a patient education strategy you might recommend for assisting your patient with the management of their health needs.
Be specific and provide examples.
Case Study
