DISCUSSION BOARD I

First, read the policy pertaining to Discussion Boards in the MODULE – Writing Assignments.
This is a senior level course, to answer the Discussion Board questions you will need to incorporate the knowledge that you have acquired in your college education, in particular what you have learned in psychology, the material from the textbook, lecture material and other material provided. The questions will require you to incorporate your knowledge with advanced reasoning and critical thinking (see grading rubric below). What I am looking for in your discussion is how you apply your empirical knowledge to the problem at hand. What will not be accepted is personal opinions, assertions or personal experiences. 
This is to be a scholarly discussion, therefore present scholarly information.  Post your discussion by 11:59PM Friday February the 3rd.  Please do not reply to any posting until you have been instructed to do so.

4.The Problem (questions)
Apply the principles of Logical positivism and Sir Karl Popper’s falsification to Charles Darwin’s theory of Evolution.  Now look at Thomas Kuhn’s structure of scientific revolution and apply it to Darwin’s theory of evolution.  Does Darwin’s theory fit well with these two views of science?  Is Darwin’s theory of evolution a scientific theory?

The aorta supplies the blood that is being filtered by the kidneys.
The urinary system is the system that filters the blood, removing waste and excess water, and eliminates them through the creation of urine. The kidneys do the filtering and then urine is sent to the bladder where, when there’s enough, we get the urge to pee.
Because the blood is being filtered by the kidneys, it’s important that they be located somewhere that a lot of blood can filter through, and that a sufficiently big artery run through it. This is why the kidneys are located just below the ribs in the upper abdomen and that a major branch of the aorta runs through.
The entire volume of blood runs through the kidneys 300 times per day!

Natural law theory bases morality on human reason and human nature. That is, we can look to the elements of nature, including human behavior, to help guide our ethical decisions. However, philosophers interpret what is “natural” differently. Philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau held that humans are naturally compassionate and altruistic. Philosopher Thomas Hobbes regarded humans as wholly self-interested and suspicious of one another. Philosopher John Locke believed the mind is a tabula rasa—a blank slate—at birth, and that there is no universal agreement regarding principles perceived as innate. Human rights are primarily based on natural law. Most of us believe we have a right to be free, treated humanely, and respected as human beings; however, people do disagree on what rights natural law accords us. This activity aligns with module outcome 1.
Discussion Question

What do our natures entail exactly, if anything? Do you align yourself more with Rousseau, Hobbes or Locke? Accordingly, how might we successfully base our laws on the laws of nature, if at all?
Referencing the television series Lost, what do you believe our natural rights afford us, specifically, in terms of actual laws? What laws might we need to re-evaluate or change, if any, to better reflect these rights?

They report that the number of tantrums decreased to 1-2 per day.  However, the tantrums were more severe with longer recovery time.•       Placed in a blended kindergarten (5 special education and 11 regular education students with Kindergarten. and special education teacher team)Concerns/Reasons for Referral•       Aggressive and disruptive behavior. Scott kicks and hits staff along with outright refusal to follow directives with yelling and screaming and throwing himself on the floor. Scott throws books and chairs and narrowly missed hitting a peer with a chair. These behaviors occur 4-6 times daily within a two-hour period.•       Unwillingness to follow directions for social or play activities. Scott says, “No,” or “I won’t” or refuses to speak and sits with arms crossed and head down with no movement toward doing what was asked,  or runs and hides under a table.•       Refuses to do any activities involving scissors, paper, pencil, crayons, or markers.•       Isolates self in a corner or under a table.Pages: 3 Pages
