Is one type of liberty more important or essential to liberalism than another?

One conceptual issue within liberalism as an ideology regards the proper understanding of liberty (e.g. political rights, economic rights, social freedom).
For this writing assignment, I would like you to consider some potential problems that such conceptual differences might create. Is it possible that pursuing one type of liberty might undermine another type of liberty? Is one type of liberty more important or essential to liberalism than another? What are some contemporary examples of situations where different conceptions / understandings of liberty create real political disagreements?
Write a 500-800 word paper which considers these issues and submit it in this dropbox in .doc, docx, .pdf, or .rtf format.
