Nursing Research and Informatics

IT’S REALLY IMPORTANT TO MEET THE COMPETENCES; I SUBMITTED A FIRST JOB WITHOUT MEETING THE COMPETENCES AND DID NOT PASS.

i am not asking to re do the job someone else did, that’s tiring. I need a whole new paper.

I’LL COPY AND PASTE THE PROFESSOR FEEDBACK AT THE END, SO YOU CAN SEE THE COMPETENCES ONCE AGAIN.

Create an educational program, event, or piece of literature (for example, a pamphlet) that incorporates best practices in health promotion and disease prevention for a diverse population. Then, explain how you developed your educational program, event, or piece of literature and address any barriers to disease prevention and health promotion for the population.

By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria:

  • Competency 3: Nursing Research and Informatics – Incorporate evidence-based practice interventions (for example, information systems and patient care technologies) as appropriate for managing the acute and chronic care of patients, promoting health across the lifespan.
    • Use valid, scholarly research resources relevant to the field of nursing to support information presented.
  • Competency 5: Communication – Communicate effectively with all members of the health care team, including interdepartmental and interdisciplinary collaboration for quality outcomes.
    • Write coherently to support a central idea in appropriate APA format, with correct grammar, usage, and mechanics as expected of a nursing professional.
  • Competency 7: Health Promotion and Disease Prevention – Apply and incorporate a basic understanding of the concepts of health promotion and disease prevention as a means of improving health at the individual, population, and community level.
    • (IMPORTANT) -Develop an educational program, event, or piece of literature to address health concerns of a diverse population.
    • (IMPORTANT) -Explain how a specific educational approach to a health concern can overcome barriers to health promotion and disease prevention for a diverse population.
  • Competency 8: Diversity – Incorporate a holistic, caring, culturally appropriate nursing approach that contributes to the wellness and the health of individuals, groups, and vulnerable populations.
    • (IMPORTANT) -Describe barriers to health promotion and disease prevention for a diverse population.

Assessment Instructions

Part I

To prepare for the first part of the assessment, complete the following:

  3. Examine the impact of current health promotion and wellness initiatives on health outcomes and health disparities.
  4. Review the literature to identify best practices.

Once you have identified a diverse population, develop an educational program, event, or piece of literature that promotes wellness and disease prevention. If you choose an educational program or event, be sure you outline the basic content of the program or event, as well as how you would structure it. If you choose a piece of literature, be deliberate in the points you highlight. Be sure that your choice is appropriate for the population.

  • For an educational program or event, prepare and submit an outline of the content and structure.
  • For a brochure or pamphlet, prepare and submit the brochure or pamphlet using a simple Word document or a Microsoft Publisher document, if you have that software available.

Part II

Explain how you developed your educational program, event, or piece of literature and address any barriers to disease prevention and health promotion for the population.

Complete the following:

  1. Explain why you chose the particular educational strategy. Why is it an effective strategy for the population?

New technology

New technology—and the application of existing technology—only appears in healthcare settings after careful and significant research. The stakes are high, and new clinical systems need to offer evidence of positive impact on outcomes or efficiencies.

Nurse informaticists and healthcare leaders formulate clinical system strategies. As these strategies are often based on technology trends, informaticists and others have then benefited from consulting existing research to inform their thinking.

In this Assignment, you will review existing research focused on the application of clinical systems. After reviewing, you will summarize your findings.

To Prepare:

Review the Resources and reflect on the impact of clinical systems on outcomes and efficiencies within the context of nursing practice and healthcare delivery.
Conduct a search for recent (within the last 5 years) research focused on the application of clinical systems. The research should provide evidence to support the use of one type of clinical system to improve outcomes and/or efficiencies, such as “the use of personal health records or portals to support patients newly diagnosed with diabetes.”
Identify and select 5 peer-reviewed articles from your research.
The Assignment: (4-5 pages)

In a 4- to 5-page paper, synthesize the peer-reviewed research you reviewed. Be sure to address the following:

technology

As healthcare providers, we look more and more to technology to improve patient outcomes, streamline operations, and lower costs. Sometimes, technology can be used in ways that have ethical, moral, and legal considerations too. You will be writing about the use of personal devices and social media and its use in healthcare. We can do it, but dare we?

This is a “think outside the box” assignment in which there is not necessarily only one right answer. Still, you are required to find sources that support your opinions. Be sure to cite and reference them in your paper. The running head of the paper will be—We can do it, but dare we?

The length of the paper should be four to five pages, excluding the title page and reference page. Limit the references to minimum of 4 to 5 references. The Paper will contain an introduction that catches the attention of the reader, states the purpose of the paper, and provides a narrative outline of what will follow (i.e,the assignment criteria).

In the body of the paper discuss the scenario in relation to HIPAA, legal and other regulatory requirement that apply to the scenario and the ending you choose. Demonstrate support from sources of evidence included as in- text citation.

Choose and identify one of the four possible endings provided for the scenario and construct your paper based on its implications to the scenario. Make recommendations about what should have been done and what could be done to correct the problems caused by the scenario and the ending you chose. Demonstrate support from sources of evidence included as in-text citations.

Present the advantages and disadvantages of using smart phones and social media in health care and describe professional and ethical principles to the appropriate use of this technology, base on the facts from supporting sources of evidence, which must be included as in-text citations.

The paper’s conclusion should summarize what you learned and make reflections about them to your practice.

Please and please this paper should be 100% free plagiarism.

Note: The article should be written in APA format, Times New Roman, please, this paper is 240 in grade, and I will advise you strictly follow the rubric for proper grading sake.

Thanks,

Sesan.

Leadership Journal: Provision

Details:

Journaling provides a valuable tool for recording, reflecting on, and reviewing your learning. This approach provides an opportunity for you to “connect the dots” and observe the relationships between and among activities, interactions, and outcomes.

Unlike a personal journal of thoughts and feelings, this Leadership Journal is a record of your activities, assessments, and learning related to this academic experience.

Journal entries should include a record of the number of hours spent with your nurse leader each week.

Write a journal entry of 1,000-1,500 words on the subject of provision, including the following:

1. Provide observations and thoughts on the activities in Weeks 7-8.

May 2012, Alice Randall wrote an article for The New York Times on the cultural factors that encouraged black women to maintain a weight above what is considered healthy. Randall explained—from her observations and her personal experience as a black woman—that many African-American communities and cultures consider women who are overweight to be more beautiful and desirable than women at a healthier weight. As she put it, “Many black women are fat because we want to be” (Randall, 2012).

Randall’s statements sparked a great deal of controversy and debate; however, they emphasize an underlying reality in the healthcare field: different populations, cultures, and groups have diverse beliefs and practices that impact their health. Nurses and healthcare professionals should be aware of this reality and adapt their health assessment techniques and recommendations to accommodate diversity.

In this Discussion, you will consider different socioeconomic, spiritual, lifestyle, and other cultural factors that should be taken into considerations when building a health history for patients with diverse backgrounds. Your Instructor will assign a case study to you for this Discussion.

To prepare:

  • Reflect on your experiences as a nurse and on the information provided in this week’s Learning Resources on diversity issues in health assessments.
  • By Day 1 of this week, you will be assigned a case study by your Instructor. Note: Please see the “Course Announcements” section of the classroom for your case study assignment.
  • Reflect on the specific socioeconomic, spiritual, lifestyle, and other cultural factors related to the health of the patient assigned to you.
  • Consider how you would build a health history for the patient. What questions would you ask, and how would you frame them to be sensitive to the patient’s background, lifestyle, and culture? Develop five targeted questions you would ask the patient to build his or her health history and to assess his or her health risks.
  • Think about the challenges associated with communicating with patients from a variety of specific populations. What strategies can you as a nurse employ to be sensitive to different cultural factors while gathering the pertinent information?
By Day 3 of Week 2

Post an explanation of the specific socioeconomic, spiritual, lifestyle, and other cultural factors associated with the patient you were assigned. Explain the issues that you would need to be sensitive to when interacting with the patient, and why. Provide at least five targeted questions you would ask the patient to build his or her health history and to assess his or her health risks.
