Does the AMA Statement of Ethics address the use of the customer information by multiple divisions of the same company?

Ethics in Commerce
Sparrow Pharmaceuticals is the maker of several popular drugs used to treat high blood pressure and arthritis. Over time, the company has developed a positive relationship with many of the patients who use its medications through a quarterly newsletter that offers the latest information on new medical research findings and general health and fitness articles. The company just has been acquired by a group of investors who also own Soothing Waters HotTubs and Spas. The marketing director for Soothing Waters would like to use Sparrow’s mailing list for a direct-mail promotion.
Ethics Questions:
What should Sparrow Pharmaceuticals do? Do you think it is ethical to use customer information across multiple divisions of the same company? Explain. To which marketing management philosophy do you think the marketing director for Soothing Waters subscribes?

Then write a brief paragraph on how the AMA Statement of Ethics relates to Sparrow Pharmaceuticals’ dilemma. (To locate the statement of Ethics students would go to http://www.marketingpower.com and in the top right corner they would select, “About AMA,” and underneath “About AMA,” there are several Gray tabs to choose from, select “Statement ofEthics,” and begin to review the Statement of Ethics.) Write a 350- to 525-word article that identifies and evaluates the impact that federal or state health care policies have on consumer costs.

In response to federal policy and service requirements, health insurance plans are increasingly developing high-deductible insurance policies and narrow networks. These types of policies require the consumer to pay more out of pocket. To portray this in a positive light, this trend has been labeled as “consumer-based” to suggest that the consumer must pay more from their own funds, and thus, encourage consumers to make better health care choices. On the other hand, this could be labeled as a burden on the consumer.
Write a 350- to 525-word article that identifies and evaluates the impact that federal or state health care policies have on consumer costs. Explore both positive and negative effects.Publish the article on your own social media account (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.), or post it on a health care message board of your choice.Include a citation of your article in your assignment.Cite 3 reputable references to support your assignment (e.g., trade or industry publications, government or agency websites, scholarly works, or other sources of similar quality).

Explain which covariates you would include in the algorithm. Finally, explain the limitations of the algorithm and the implications for public health.

500 words APA not including min 4 references
PUBLIC HEALTH (READ CAREFULLY)
Biosurveillance Algorithms
Different diseases may share many of the same symptoms. Because diseases have a broad range of symptoms (many of which overlap), biosurveillance algorithms must be constructed to identify those indicators that can (individually or in some combination) accurately discriminate the presence or absence of the condition of interest, properly monitor those indicators, and provide reliable output on each specific disease’s trends. Matching the process of analyzing the data with the necessary types of data is of utmost importance when trying to obtain an early identification of a health event with minimum false positives.
To prepare for this Discussion, select an infectious disease. Consider the best approach/algorithm to monitor the disease or condition you selected. Determine the number and type of covariates the algorithm should have.
Post a description of the algorithm that you think would best monitor the disease you selected. Explain which covariates you would include in the algorithm. Finally, explain the limitations of the algorithm and the implications for public health.

Did input and output come close to balancing each other out? Was output more than input, or was the opposite true?

Step 3: Compute your TEE (total energy expenditure)
Add your BMR and an average of your AEE for the day you tracked your physical activity.
Step 4: Depict and Discuss Your Energy Equation
Devise a way of showing how your input compares to your output. This can be a simple table, a graph, or a chart.
Using the link below, write a brief discussion in which you address the following questions:
Did input and output come close to balancing each other out? Was output more than input, or was the opposite true?
Its not just calorie totals that are important in diet analysis. Looking at the total energy input for the day you tracked, were the proportions of each of the three macronutrients in line with the Guideline recommendations? Does your total calorie intake represent the concept of proportionality so that you have a “balanced” diet?
Did carbohydrates supply 50-60% of your total caloric intake? Were added sugars less than 10% of your total carbohydrate intake?
Did 25-30% of your total caloric intake come from fats, with less than 10% being from saturated fats?
Did protein (plant and animal) account for no more than 15-25% of your total caloric intake?
If you were to make every day for the next six months look like this one, do you think you would lose or gain weight? Why?
Be sure to include your “energy equation”in the body of your paper.

Discuss pertinent formulation issues for the drug. For example is it known to be stable or unstable does it have specific storage requirements? Are there different formulations available? Is the drug usually prescribed in a simple and convenient dosage form for the patient?

Should simvastatin be prescribed in preference to other available drugs for the treatment of dyslipidaemia and the prevention of cardiovascular disease
Order Description
6000PDPHAR Coursework 2: Essay Literature ReviewThe coursework for this module will help to develop your skills in finding and critically analysing information that you find in the literature or using on-line resources this will provide a sound basis for the independent research that you will do as part of your final year project. The second piece of coursework for this module requires you to find and analyse the information relating to the clinical use of your given drug (this is the same drug that you used for coursework 1).
You should write an essay entitled:Should simvastatin be prescribed in preference to other available drugs for the treatment of dyslipidaemia and the prevention of cardiovascular disease?
To conduct this review students are expected to use high quality resources for their research. Assessing quality of resources is covered as part of the report on E-resources use and assessment and students should refer to the information gained through the related workshops when ascertaining which resources to use for this exercise. Each student will be allocated an individual drug which they investigate for both coursework exercises. Some drugs may be well-established treatments whereas others may be new to the market. Students are expected to research the use and properties of their given drug and make an assessment of how useful the drug is in comparison to other drugs available for treating the same condition. Where a drug is used to treat more than one condition the student may select any one of the known therapeutic uses. The literature review essay is divided into five sections with marks allocated as follows
1. [30%] Discuss the clinical use and mode of action of the drug and provide a comparison to alternative drugs used for the same therapeutic indication*. Students should find information on the therapeutic application of their drug and how it works to treat the condition. The mode of action and efficacy of the drug should be compared to other drugs used to treat the same condition.
2. [30%] Discuss the side-effect profile of the drug and provide a comparison with the side effect profile of other drugs used to treat the same condition*. In particular note if there are specific contra-indications for use of the drug (e.g. for the elderly for children or those with impaired renal or hepatic function etc).
3. [10%] Discuss pertinent formulation issues for the drug. For example is it known to be stable or unstable does it have specific storage requirements? Are there different formulations available? Is the drug usually prescribed in a simple and convenient dosage form for the patient?
4. [20%] Use the information obtained for sections 1 4 above to provide a reasoned argument as to whether [your drug] should be given in preference to other drugs on the market for treating the same condition*. This should summarise the key points from the previous sections and be written in good scientific English.
5. [10%] Marks will be awarded for ensuring good quality reference sources have been used to obtain the information for this essay and for recording all references correctly (i.e. according to the guidelines given in the E-resources use and assessment workshop. You should use the Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology format for citing references)
*If information on other drugs for treating the same condition is not available the essay should discuss these points in general terms e.g. what is the societal need for such a drug? Does the drug have a good or poor side-effect profile in general terms? Please ask for help if you are unsure. The word limit for the essay is 1500 words (excluding references). You must state the word count (excluding references). 20 marks will be deducted for essays that exceed the word limit. This essay contributes 20% of the total mark for this module.
