From what I gathered from the readings is our top senior managers are not just talented in one compentcy , theposse strengths in all compentenies. I believe that as well especially depending on the type of organization and the level of management your in. Let me elaborate on my thoughts. In strategic action you need to understand the industry your working in and the organization itself. I think this is the most important. Self management would have to follow, the person most pose integrity and ethical conduct. Team work would follow and then Communication. Finally, Planning & Administration and Multicultural. All of the competencies are important but I think some play a bigger part in the management roles which lead into the others. A good manager will balance all of these. I currently do not pose all the abilites of the compentcies, however I’m working on them to become a better manager.
